In this episode I am joined by the incredible Peter Shankman. Peter is an incredible human, consultant, corporate keynote speaker, TV expert and host of the Faster Than Normal Podcast.
Peter was also diagnosed as having ADHD, and in this podcast with Peter we dive into what that meant for him growing up and how in his 30’s he was able to utilise this diagnosis as a super power rather than something that acted as a limiting factor in his life.
We dive into how being bullied as a child and being labelled as the ‘disruptive kid’ by teachers meant that growing up was tough, however after seeing therapists and coming to terms with who he is, and not being stuck behind a limiting label, Peter managed to flip the perspective and start using what made him different to his advantage.
I have know Peter for a few years now, and I can honestly say the energy he brings to a room is unparalleled and the speed at which he implements is second to none.
This episode will hopefully shed some insight and hope to those who either have ADHD themselves or know someone who is on the neuro-diverse spectrum.

The concept for “Let’s Talk Mental Health” is quite straight forward. To chat with my guest in a neutral comfortable environment where we can be open and honest about mental health issues and talk about our own experiences.
Men need to talk more about Mental Health and this series is looking to address that by showcasing what others have been through and highlighting that vulnerability is a strength.
