In this episode I am joined by registered Counselling Therapist and Certified Counsellor Nick Cardone.
Nick has been working in the mental health and addictions field for over 10 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this discussion. Nick is the founder of Free Range Therapy and the T.O.N.E Project (Therapy Outside Normal Environments)
Using his own experiences as a child, not truly thriving in the traditional classroom environments, Nick began asking the same questions of the therapy profession and the impact a seemingly stagnant environment was having not just on patients but on therapists too.
We dive into a number of topics around the conversation of counselling and therapy and Nick shares with us some of what he has found through his work over the years.
If you have ever felt like the traditional structured environments for learning or even therapy were not best for you, then you will find this episode incredibly inspiring.

The concept for “Let’s Talk Mental Health” is quite straight forward. To chat with my guest in a neutral comfortable environment where we can be open and honest about mental health issues and talk about our own experiences.
Men need to talk more about Mental Health and this series is looking to address that by showcasing what others have been through and highlighting that vulnerability is a strength.
