Today I am on my own again but talking about a subject I am passionate about. Toxic Positivity. Purely by coincidence I found myself in a part of the world where this subject felt super poignant. Click show more to find out more.
Toxic positivity is something I have spoken about in earlier episodes, but felt it needed to be its own subject.
Not believing too much in coincidences I found myself in Panama City Florida which just 8 months before I recorded this video was hit hard by Hurricane Michael.
This was a somber drive to experience as I drove past the houses and businesses of people that had lost everything. The point being can you imagine saying “Cheer up” or “Look on the bright side” to these people. It is utterly worthless. Just like the rest of toxic positivity.
In this episode I also mention a few videos by the legendary Brené Brown. You can check out her Ted Talks here:

This Podcast was originally recorded for YouTube which you can watch using this link here:
The concept for “Let’s Talk Mental Health” is quite straight forward. To chat with my guest in a neutral comfortable environment where we can be open and honest about mental health issues and talk about our own experiences.
Men need to talk more about Mental Health and this series is looking to address that by showcasing what others have been through and highlighting that vulnerability is a strength.
