Welcome to 2020!
Today we are kicking off season 2 of the Lets Talk Mental Health series with Roxanne Thompson.
Roxanne is the manager at Proper Gym Manchester as well as the founder of Serenity Wellbeing Services. In this episode Roxanne shares with us her experiences with her own mental health battles and what tools she has learned over the years to be in a better place mentally and work through her trauma.
She talks about how in her life she would find it very hard to forgive people who had hurt her, and she carried the burden and energy of hate for a lot of people. It wasn’t until a car crash in which she survived and could have come out a lot worse made her realise how small some of that stuff was and how much of her life and energy was being taken up by it.
Roxanne is now doing her best to assist others with their mental wellbeing with her work through Serenity.

The concept for “Let’s Talk Mental Health” is quite straight forward. To chat with my guest in a neutral comfortable environment where we can be open and honest about mental health issues and talk about our own experiences.
Men need to talk more about Mental Health and this series is looking to address that by showcasing what others have been through and highlighting that vulnerability is a strength.
