Today I am joined by Jen Nicholls, the first female guest on the channel who shares her story with us, including her experiences with masculinity at home and in the work place. Click Show More to see more.
Jen shares with us her story from her experiences as a child and being brought up in a masculine dominated environment, her struggles with body image and confidence to then working as an engineer in male dominated environments.
She then shares her story of a delayed post natal depression which led her to anti-depressants and a battle to get her life back for both her and her child.
I’d like to say a huge thank you to Jen for taking the time to join me and be so honest with her journey.
We forgot to mention in the recording that Jen was climbing Snowdon through the night to raise money for MIND. If you have some money to spare for a great cause you can still donate using this link here:

The concept for “Let’s Talk Mental Health” is quite straight forward. To chat with my guest in a neutral comfortable environment where we can be open and honest about mental health issues and talk about our own experiences.
Men need to talk more about Mental Health and this series is looking to address that by showcasing what others have been through and highlighting that vulnerability is a strength.
