In today’s episode I am joined by the amazing Cathrine James. I have known Cathrine for pretty much the whole of 2020 and have learned so much from her already.
Just a few weeks ago she shared with me some of her experiences of what it is like being a black woman in America. It was at that moment I knew that I needed to do whatever I could to help share her experiences with as many people as I could.
We dive into the core issue of racism in the USA at a systemic level and what it could take to eradicate that. We take a trauma informed approach to Racism as a whole and look at why nothing is going to change when far too many people are gaining from this current system.
Cathrine also shares her experiences as a wife and a mother and what the impact of racism has on her day to day life and how recent events are triggering many traumas for black people resulting in the movement we are seeing now.
