In today’s episode I am joined by Michael Barnett. Michael is a Triathlete for Great Britain, a Mental Health First Aider and an all round top guy who shares with us his mental health battles, including grief and narcissistic relationships. Click Show More to see more.
When I first met Michael we hit it off immediately and knew we were cut from the same cloth. He was keen to use his experiences and mental health challenges to help others and for that reason I couldn’t wait to get him in the car.
He shares with us the battle he had with grief after losing his mother and bottling that up for years. Then the grief of losing his wife to divorce which then led him into the grasp of a Narcissistic relationship.
Michael details his journey and how he came through the other side and now how he tries to use his story to help others that are struggling too.

The concept for “Let’s Talk Mental Health” is quite straight forward. To chat with my guest in a neutral comfortable environment where we can be open and honest about mental health issues and talk about our own experiences.
Men need to talk more about Mental Health and this series is looking to address that by showcasing what others have been through and highlighting that vulnerability is a strength.
